New Moon in Capricorn

Capricorn’s evolutionary goal is to find the right mountain (mission, cause, purpose) to climb. One that it would be willing to put all of its effort into no matter how strenuous the climb can get.

During Sagittarius season we envisioned, explored, and tasted what was possible. Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, asked us to dream bigger and believe in ourselves. In comes Saturn, the planet of self-discipline, which wants us to make our visions a reality. What you envision for yourself is possible, but only if you put in the work. And when it comes to Saturn, it’s about giving everything you are capable of giving. With sustained effort, patience, and determination, our vision(s) can begin to take form.

In the same breath, acknowledge how far you’ve already climbed, and stop to take in the view from wherever you are in your journey. The shadow side of Saturn is excessive self-discipline to the point of exhaustion, so remember to celebrate yourself for all the strides you’ve taken and all that you’ve accomplished so far. Every single effort counts.

The new moon makes contact with Jupiter, the planet of faith and expansion, which adds an uplifting touch to this lunation. Jupiter is currently in Aries, the archetype of the pioneer. Aries is about having the courage to go after what you want and knowing that you have the right to claim it. Jupiter also speaks to this as Jupiter asks you to believe that you are worthy of what you dream and envision for yourself.

Under this new moon, find some solitude, and ask yourself: what vision/dream (moon) do you choose to commit (Saturn) to? What direction is your heart (moon) guiding you towards? When it comes to climbing the right mountain, your heart must have the final say otherwise you risk climbing a mountain that isn’t worthy of you and your valuable efforts
