Full Moon in Aquarius

Aquarius’ evolutionary goal is to develop their individuality, question authority, and resist the pressure to conform to cultural and societal expectations.

The full moon is opposite the Sun in Leo; the common ground between these two signs is being true to your authentic self.

For Aquarius, the pathway to being true to their authentic self lies in figuring out who we are beyond what we have been conditioned to think we are. Becoming aware of how the external world has shaped you begins the process of unraveling the layers that are not authentic to your true nature. In doing so, you begin to break free from (social, cultural and familial) expectations and pressures that stifle any part of your true expression and how you want so show up in the world. To get this process right, it requires that you follow your inner guidance regardless of how “strange” or “unconventional” you may look to others.

The Aquarius full moon makes aspects to both of its rulers — Saturn (traditional ruler) and Uranus (modern ruler); Saturn makes the rules while Uranus breaks them. This poses the question: what rules do you need to break free from?

Reflections:

  • Where do you feel restricted/constrained (Saturn) in your life and how can you create more freedom (Uranus) there? Or where are you feeling instability (Uranus) and how can you create supportive structures (Saturn)?

  • Are there any societal expectations that you’ve been conditioned by that are restricting or stifling your true expression and how you want to show up in your community?

  • Can you let those expectations fall away, stand in your authenticity, and continue to walk in the direction your inner guidance is leading you even if your choices may seem unconventional to others?
